Keep your Teal Blossom bikini looking vibrant. Learn how to wash, dry, and store this printed lace brief to preserve its color and delicate fabric.
Quick answer
Hand wash your Print Lace Bum Bikini in cold water with a gentle detergent, then lay it flat to air dry. Avoid wringing, bleach, and the dryer to protect the lace and the teal blossom print.
Why the teal blossom print needs extra care
The teal lace features a printed pattern with warm burnt orange undertones. This layered color design is more delicate than a single-color lace. Harsh washing can cause the orange tones to fade or the print to distort, which is why a gentle hand-wash routine is essential.
When to choose a different care method
If you are traveling or cannot hand wash, use a mesh lingerie bag and the delicate cycle on your machine. Even then, keep the water cold and skip the spin cycle. The machine is always a higher-risk option for printed lace, so reserve it for situations where hand washing is truly impossible.
Diagnosis: Is your lace bikini showing signs of wear?
- Symptom: The teal color looks dull or the orange undertones seem faded. Check your wash routine for common mistakes.
- Likely cause: Washing with warm or hot water, using regular detergent (which often contains brighteners), or putting the bikini in the dryer. Switch to cold water and a lace-friendly detergent. Stop using the dryer.
- Corrective action: Soak the brief in cold water with a small amount of mild soap for 10 minutes. Gently swish, rinse in cold water, then press out moisture with a towel. Lay flat to dry away from direct sunlight. Most color loss is cumulative. After this treatment, the remaining color will stabilize.
- Stop or choose another option: If the print is already badly faded or the lace has frayed edges, washing will not restore it. Consider this piece a delicate garment with a finite lifespan. For future purchases, the Print Lace Bum Bikini in Teal Blossom is best reserved for occasional wear and gentle care.
